India’s women’s beach kabaddi team once again proved why they are the undisputed queens of the sport. At the 2026 Asian Beach Games in Sanya, China, the team delivered another outstanding performance to win the gold medal and extend their incredible winning streak.

By defeating Sri Lanka 47-31 in the final, India secured their sixth straight title at the Asian Beach Games. The achievement further strengthened India’s reputation as the strongest nation in women’s beach kabaddi and added another chapter to the country’s rich sporting history.

The latest India women beach kabaddi gold medal victory showed that India’s dominance remains as strong as ever.

A Perfect Campaign in Sanya

The journey to the gold medal was impressive from start to finish. India remained unbeaten throughout the tournament and comfortably overcame every challenge that came their way.

In the group stage, India started with a strong 44-32 victory against Sri Lanka before producing a dominant 64-22 win over Syria. These performances helped the team qualify for the knockout stage with confidence.

The semifinal against Bangladesh was another commanding display. India’s raiders and defenders worked together brilliantly to secure a convincing 50-31 victory and book a place in the final.

The Sanya Beach Kabaddi Championship final brought another meeting with Sri Lanka. Although the contest was competitive during the first half, India gradually took control and pulled away after the break to claim the gold medal.

Six Consecutive Titles India Women Kabaddi Team Has Won

The victory in Sanya was historic because it marked six consecutive titles India women kabaddi team has won at the Asian Beach Games.

Since the competition began in 2008, India have won every single women’s beach kabaddi gold medal available. No other nation has been able to break their grip on the title.

This remarkable achievement highlights the consistency and quality of Indian women’s kabaddi over nearly two decades.

Captain Ritu played a key role in guiding the team during the tournament. After the victory, she expressed pride in the achievement and praised the years of hard work that helped the team return to the top of the podium after a ten year gap since the previous Asian Beach Games.

The Players Behind the Success

India’s gold medal winning squad featured six talented players who delivered under pressure throughout the tournament.

Captain Ritu provided leadership and tactical direction. Manisha Kumari contributed strongly in defense, while Simran Kamboj impressed with important raids.

Manpreet Kaur added stability during crucial moments, and Nikita along with Nikita Chauhan played valuable roles in maintaining the team’s balance.

Together, they formed a unit that was difficult for opponents to stop.

Why India Dominance in Beach Kabaddi Continues

The story of india dominance in beach kabaddi is built on strong player development and excellent preparation.

Many beach kabaddi players come through India’s successful indoor kabaddi system. This creates a steady supply of skilled athletes who can adapt to the sand format.

Fitness also plays a major role. Beach kabaddi demands strength, stamina, and quick movement on sand. Indian players consistently show superior conditioning, especially during the later stages of matches when fatigue becomes a factor.

A Legacy That Keeps Growing

The latest India women beach kabaddi gold medal at the Sanya Beach Kabaddi Championship is another reminder of India’s excellence in the sport.

With six consecutive titles, India women kabaddi team has established a legacy that few teams in any sport can match. As long as the current system continues to produce talented players, India dominance in beach kabaddi looks set to continue for many years to come.
