The Inter-Collegiate Kabaddi Men Tournament 2026-27 continued with another exciting day of action at the Gymnasium Hall of the University of Jammu. The competition is being organized by the Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu, with teams from government degree colleges and institutes across the Jammu region taking part. GDC Samba Win One Point Thriller
One of the biggest highlights of Jammu University kabaddi Day 2 was the exciting contest between GDC Samba and GDC Kunjwani. GDC Samba eventually secured a narrow 35 to 34 victory after a closely fought match. The one point difference made it one of the most competitive games of the day.

MIET College defeated GDC Chenani 37 to 20, while GDC Udhampur beat MIER College 32 to 17. GDC Surankote also had a strong outing, defeating KC Law College 32 to 13. GDC Gagwal completed another convincing victory by beating GDC Sunderbani 38 to 25.
PG Department JU Make Strong Statement
The PG Department of the University of Jammu produced the highest score of the day. They defeated GDC Mendhar 48 to 34 in an entertaining contest. The 14 point victory showed the attacking strength of the PG Department team and placed them among the teams to watch as the tournament moves forward.
Other results saw GDC Khour defeat Trikuta College of Physical Education 18 to 10, GDC Ramban beat GDC Ramnagar 16 to 4, GDC Marheen defeat UIET Kathua 34 to 29 and GDC Kathua beat GDC RS Pura 28 to 14.
Day 3 to Decide Next Stage
The tournament is being conducted under the supervision of Dr. Daud Iqbal Baba, Director of Sports and Physical Education at the University of Jammu. The technical officiating panel includes Anil Sharma, Ajay Gupta, Dheeraj Sharma, Harpreet Singh, Amandeep Singh, Prajwal Slathia, Ashfaq Hussain and Gagan Kumar.
The winners from Day 2 will advance into the pre quarterfinal and quarterfinal rounds scheduled for Day 3. With several teams showing strong form and two matches decided by a single point, the next stage promises more competitive kabaddi action.
