Dabang Delhi 37-36 Patna Pirates
The Season 8 final remains one of the greatest Pro Kabaddi matches ever played. Dabang Delhi were chasing their first PKL title, while Patna Pirates were aiming for another championship after already winning three titles.
Patna started strongly, but Delhi stayed close through Naveen Kumar and Vijay Malik. With Delhi leading 36-35 and less than two minutes left, Vijay produced a crucial do-or-die raid against five defenders.
Patna’s Mohammadreza Shadloui then earned a tackle point to make it 37-36. In the final raid, Naveen Kumar crossed the baulk line and managed to escape the defenders while running down the clock. Delhi won by just one point to claim their maiden PKL championship.
Telugu Titans 45-45 Dabang Delhi
The Season 2 meeting between Telugu Titans and Dabang Delhi remains one of the most thrilling PKL matches because of its incredible scoreline and dramatic ending.
Kashiling Adake produced a remarkable performance for Delhi, scoring 24 raid points. Rahul Chaudhari and Deepak Niwas Hooda also kept the Titans in the contest.
Delhi appeared to have won 46-44 after Adake scored during the final raid. However, a television review showed that he had failed to cross the baulk line before returning. The decision overturned the raid result and gave Telugu Titans a point, producing an astonishing 45-45 draw.
Bengaluru Bulls 48-45 UP Yoddhas
Season 7 produced another unforgettable playoff battle. UP Yoddhas built an 11-point advantage early, but Pawan Sehrawat changed the match with a brilliant 20-point performance.
Bengaluru led 36-35 with only five seconds remaining. Surender Gill then scored a bonus point during the buzzer raid to make it 36 – 36 and force extra time.
Sehrawat continued his outstanding performance in the additional seven-minute period as Bengaluru eventually won 48-45.
UP Yoddhas 36-36 Tamil Thalaivas
Season 9 delivered the first tiebreaker in PKL playoff history. UP Yoddhas and Tamil Thalaivas could not be separated after 40 minutes, with the match ending 36-36.
The five-raid tiebreaker brought another level of pressure. UP took an early lead, but Sahil Gulia produced a super tackle before Himanshu Singh helped Tamil Thalaivas take control. The Thalaivas eventually won the tiebreaker 6-4 and reached their first semifinal.
Haryana Steelers 40-40 Tamil Thalaivas
The Season 6 clash between Haryana Steelers and Tamil Thalaivas is another classic example of last-minute wins in PKL turning into dramatic draws.
Tamil Thalaivas led 40-37 with 45 seconds remaining, thanks to Ajay Thakur’s 17 raid points. Vikash Kandola quickly reduced the gap before Haryana’s defense brought the score closer.
With almost no time left, Kandola produced a diving hand touch against a five-man defense to level the match at 40-40. It was a remarkable finish that perfectly captured the unpredictable nature of kabaddi.
