India continued their strong start in the men’s kabaddi competition at the Asian Games 2026 with a 63-31 victory over the Republic of Korea in their second Group A match at the Tokai Citizens Gymnasium on Tuesday, September 22.
Sunil Kumar’s side controlled the contest from the opening stages and took a 34-14 lead into half-time, putting themselves firmly in command.
India Take Control Before the Break
India’s raiders were particularly effective in the first half, collecting 23 points and repeatedly putting the Korean defence under pressure.
Seven bonus points and two All-Outs further strengthened India’s position, while Korea struggled to create enough attacking momentum.
The Republic of Korea managed only 10 touch points before half-time as India’s defensive structure restricted their opportunities.
Strong Second Half Seals Big Win
India remained in control after the interval, adding another 29 points to complete a dominant performance.
They registered one more All-Out and finished the match with 17 bonus points overall. Korea scored 17 points in the second half, but the gap created before the break proved too large to close.
India’s raiders ended the match with 38 points, compared to Korea’s 23, highlighting the difference between the two teams.
Bangladesh Next for India
The victory followed India’s opening Group A win over Japan and extended their perfect start to two matches.
India will next face Bangladesh on September 23 as they continue their group-stage campaign at the Asian Games 2026.
