The second day of the 72nd Senior Nationals Men’s Kabaddi Championship 2026 at the Sama Indoor Complex in Vadodara delivered a mix of dominant performances and tightly fought battles as teams across the Pools strengthened their push for knockout qualification.

Pool A witnessed one of the most dramatic encounters of the day, with Andhra Pradesh narrowly defeating Telangana 47–45 in a gripping two-point contest. Pottla Gopi Chand produced 17 points, while Gali Lakshma Reddy added 10. For Telangana, G Raju stood out with a 20-point effort in a determined performance.

Later in Pool A, Haryana recorded a comprehensive 49-18 win over Telangana. Neeraj Narwal led the scoring with 11 points, supported by Nitin Kumar’s nine. Surjeet Singh and Nitesh Kumar contributed four tackle points each as Haryana controlled the contest from start to finish.

Pool B provided late drama as Madhya Pradesh edged Goa 35–34 in a one-point thriller. Bhavani Rajput delivered 14 points and Uday Parte chipped in with nine, with Madhya Pradesh holding firm in the closing stages to seal the narrow victory.

In Pool C, Tamil Nadu extended their strong run with a convincing 40–21 triumph over Vidarbha. Sathish Kannan scored eight points, while New Young Player of PKL 12 Deepak S marshalled the defence with eight tackle points as Tamil Nadu dictated the tempo throughout the match.

Pool C also saw Himachal Pradesh overcome Gujarat 51–34, winning by 17 points. U Mumba’s Anil led with 14 points, with valuable contributions from Pappu Kamal Kumar and Mayank Saini. Mitesh Prajapati managed 13 for Gujarat, but Himachal Pradesh’s higher tackle count and four all-outs proved decisive.

In Pool D, Uttar Pradesh registered one of the tournament’s largest margins so far, defeating Manipur 70–33 by 37 points. Uday Dabas delivered a standout 25-point performance, while Sourabh added 12. Uttar Pradesh accumulated 53 raid points and inflicted eight all-outs to dominate the encounter. Mayengbam Menson impressed for Manipur with 18 points, though the team struggled to withstand Uttar Pradesh’s sustained pressure.

Pool F action saw Kerala secure a 45–30 victory against Chhattisgarh. Nandhu T scored 11 points and Adithyan added 10, combining effectively in attack, while Kerala’s defence maintained control. Sankar Mishra was Chhattisgarh’s top performer with 10 points.

In Pool H, Delhi posted a commanding 64–42 win over Tripura. Ashish led the charge with 18 points, and Himanshu Singh contributed 14 in a performance that featured six all-outs. A Das delivered 25 points for Tripura, but Delhi’s defensive strength ensured a comfortable result.

With two days completed, the pool standings are starting to take clearer shape, and the competition is expected to intensify as teams continue their pursuit of knockout qualification.
