Ayan Lohchab has quickly become one of the most exciting left raiders in the Pro Kabaddi League. The Haryana-born star has developed into a major attacking force after making his PKL debut as a New Young Player for the Patna Pirates.
His breakthrough came in PKL Season 12 when he won the Best Raider Award after producing a record-breaking campaign. Lohchab finished the season with 316 raid points, becoming the only player in the league to cross the 300-point mark. His combination of speed, footwork and patience has made him extremely difficult for defenders to contain.
Ayan Lohchab Kabaddi Style
The biggest strength of Ayan Lohchab kabaddi performances is his movement. Operating from the left side, he uses quick side-to-side shuffles to move right corner defenders away from their positions.
Rather than depending on brute strength, Lohchab uses timing and agility to create openings. Once a defender moves out of position, he can stretch his hand for a touch before quickly returning towards the midline.
His ability to escape pressure is equally impressive. When corner and cover defenders close in, Lohchab uses quick waist movements and low slides to find a path back to safety.
Ayan Lohchab Best Raids
Ayan Lohchab’s best raids came during his incredible Season 12 campaign. His most memorable performance was against Bengal Warriorz in a thrilling 51 – 49 contest at Delhi’s Thyagaraj Indoor Stadium.
Patna were nine points behind with less than 10 minutes remaining when Lohchab took control. He produced consecutive multi-point raids, helped create an All Out and then delivered a crucial Super Raid in the 39th minute.
He eventually completed the comeback by scoring in the final do-or-die raid of the match. His 27-point performance became one of the defining individual displays of the season.
Six 20-Plus Point Performances
Lohchab’s consistency was just as impressive as his biggest performance. He recorded six matches with at least 20 points during the season, joining an elite group that includes legendary raider Pardeep Narwal.
His consecutive 20-point performances against U Mumba and Puneri Paltan further demonstrated his ability to maintain a high level across different matches.
Ayan Lohchab PKL Rise
The Ayan Lohchab PKL journey has developed rapidly. After making an impact in Season 11, when he scored 184 raid points and won the Best New Young Player Award, he reached another level in Season 12.
His raid total increased to 316, while his Super 10 tally jumped to 16. Despite taking more raids, he remained highly effective at avoiding tackles and finished with a not out percentage of 78.2 percent.
Key Player in Patna’s Comeback
Lohchab was also central to Patna Pirates’ remarkable eight-match winning streak. The team had dropped to 12th place during the season, but his performances in pressure situations helped transform their campaign.
Across 47 career matches, Lohchab has accumulated 500 raid points and 23 Super 10s. With his ability to deliver in crucial moments, the young raider has already established himself as one of the most dangerous attacking players in the PKL.
