India will enter the Asian Games 2026 men’s kabaddi competition with a strong squad featuring experienced players and promising young talent. The India kabaddi team Asian Games squad has 12 players, with the Amateur Kabaddi Federation of India and national selectors naming Pawan Sehrawat and Aslam Inamdar as the two specialist all-rounders.
Both players bring different skills to the team and can contribute in both raiding and defensive situations. Their ability to take responsibility in more than one area gives India greater balance as they look to challenge for another gold medal.
Pawan Sehrawat
Pawan Sehrawat is one of the most experienced names among the India kabaddi all-rounders for Asian Games 2026. The right raider is best known for his explosive attacking game, quick movement and ability to collect multiple points from a single raid.
However, Sehrawat can also contribute in defence when required. His ability to move into the right in and right cover positions gives India an additional defensive option. This makes him more than just a primary raider and provides the team with useful flexibility during difficult moments.
Sehrawat was also part of India’s gold medal winning squad at the Hangzhou Asian Games. His previous experience at the continental level could be important as the Indian team prepares for another major tournament.
Aslam Inamdar
Aslam Inamdar is the other all-rounder included in the India men’s kabaddi squad 2026. The Maharashtra player is known for his left sided raiding skills, quick decision making and running hand touch ability.
Inamdar can also contribute defensively from the left in and cover positions. His ability to read situations quickly allows him to support tackles while also providing India with a secondary raiding option.
Like Sehrawat, Inamdar was part of India’s gold medal winning team at Hangzhou. His experience, combined with his ability to operate on both sides, gives the coaching staff another tactical option.
India’s Complete Kabaddi Squad
The India kabaddi team Asian Games squad includes four specialist raiders, two all rounders and six defenders. Arjun Deshwal, Ashu Malik, Devank Dalal and Ayan Lohchab form the raiding group.
Pawan Sehrawat and Aslam Inamdar are the two all rounders, while captain Sunil Kumar leads the defensive unit alongside Jaideep Dahiya, Rahul Sethpal, Gaurav Khatri, Sumit Sangwan and Ankit Jaglan.
The presence of two experienced all rounders gives India additional balance between attack and defence. Sehrawat offers explosive raiding and defensive cover, while Inamdar provides tactical flexibility and support on the left side.
The kabaddi tournament at the Asian Games 2026 will be held from September 21 to September 26 at the Nagoya City Trade and Industry Centre in Japan. With two proven all rounders in the squad, India will hope to maintain its strong record in men’s kabaddi and compete for another Asian Games gold medal.
