Men’s Division: Kolhapur and Ahilyanagar Assert Dominance
The men’s knockout rounds were defined by power-packed performances and tactical masterclasses. Ahilyanagar delivered the most emphatic statement of the quarterfinals, dismantling Thane with a staggering 60–26 victory, signaling their intent for the title.
In a repeat of their storied rivalry, Pune cruised past Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar with a comfortable 43–18 win. However, the biggest upset of the day came in the second quarterfinal, where Kolhapur showcased superior defensive coordination to eliminate Mumbai Suburban (Upnagar) with a final score of 35–30. Meanwhile, Raigad narrowly escaped a spirited challenge from Sangli, edging them out 41–39 in a match that went down to the final raid.
Women’s Division: Mumbai Suburban Reclaims the Throne
The women’s category saw a masterclass in raiding and agility. The two Mumbai districts dominated their respective paths to the final:
- Mumbai Suburban (Upnagar) secured their spot in the business end by defeating host Nashik 31–19.
- Mumbai City (Shahar) displayed clinical efficiency to overcome Kolhapur 28–19.
- Pune overwhelmed Thane with a massive 52–19 victory, while Ratnagiri fought a hard-earned 35–31 battle against Palghar.
In a highly anticipated Grand Final, Mumbai Suburban faced off against Mumbai City. In a contest of composure and execution, the Suburban team emerged as the 73rd State Champions, maintaining their edge during the “Do-or-Die” moments to seal a memorable victory.
