Pro Kabaddi League Season 12 was full of excitement, close matches, and unforgettable performances. While star raiders and defenders often grabbed the headlines, strong leadership also played a major role in shaping the season.

The best teams were guided by captains who delivered under pressure and inspired their teammates throughout the campaign. From leading title challenges to managing difficult situations, these leaders showed why they rank among the best captains in PKL Season 12.

Here is a look at the top kabaddi captains who stood out during the season.

1. Ashu Malik (Dabang Delhi K.C.)

Ashu Malik tops the list after guiding Dabang Delhi K.C. to the PKL Season 12 title.

The talented raider led from the front despite dealing with injury problems during the season. Even though he missed six matches, Ashu remained the driving force behind Delhi’s success.

He scored 152 raid points in only 14 matches and consistently delivered when his team needed him most. His ability to win crucial points during pressure situations helped Delhi stay among the strongest teams in the competition.

What made Ashu’s leadership special was the culture he created within the squad. Even when he was unavailable, the team continued to perform at a high level. Delhi won 15 of their 20 matches before Ashu returned for the playoffs and helped complete their championship journey.

Among all PKL Season 12 captains, Ashu’s contribution was the most impactful.

2. Aslam Inamdar (Puneri Paltan)

Aslam Inamdar played a huge role in Puneri Paltan’s impressive run to the final.

The all-rounder captain contributed in both attack and defense, making him one of the most complete leaders in the league. He scored 57 raid points and added 19 tackle points across 17 matches.

Aslam’s biggest strength was his versatility. He was willing to take responsibility in every area of the game and never hesitated to step up during difficult moments.

His leadership was especially important for Puneri’s young squad. He helped organize the team on the mat and kept players calm during high pressure situations.

The team’s performance often dipped when he was off the mat, showing just how valuable he was to their success.

3. Vijay Malik (Telugu Titans)

Vijay Malik was the key figure behind Telugu Titans’ remarkable improvement in Season 12.

After several difficult seasons, the Titans emerged as serious contenders, and Vijay’s leadership played a major part in that transformation.

One of his greatest strengths was consistency. He played all 21 matches during the season and helped the Titans secure 12 victories before reaching Qualifier 2.

Vijay may not always have produced eye-catching statistics, but his influence was visible in every match. He controlled the pace of games, guided younger players, and worked closely with the coaching staff to make important tactical decisions.

His calm approach helped turn Telugu Titans into a disciplined and competitive unit.

Final Thoughts

The best captains in PKL Season 12 proved that leadership is about much more than individual performances. Ashu Malik inspired a championship winning team, Aslam Inamdar led by example on both sides of the mat, and Vijay Malik helped transform Telugu Titans into contenders.

Among all PKL Season 12 captains, these three leaders showed why strong captaincy remains one of the most important ingredients for success in kabaddi. They truly earned their place among the top kabaddi captains of the season.
