India’s women’s kabaddi team continued their unbeaten run at the 2026 Asian Games with a dominant 48-24 victory over Nepal in the semi-final at the Tokai Citizens Gymnasium.
The defending champions controlled the contest through relentless raiding and solid defence, forcing three All-Outs to secure a place in the gold medal match.
India Take Control Early
India’s raiders set the tone from the start, repeatedly breaking through Nepal’s defence and building a commanding advantage.
Sanju Devi was one of the key attacking figures, consistently adding points and helping India maintain pressure throughout the first half.
By the interval, India had opened up a 31-17 lead after collecting 23 out points, four bonus points and two All-Outs.
Nepal managed to stay competitive for parts of the opening half, scoring 13 touch points and registering a Super Tackle, but they were unable to reduce the gap significantly.
India Manage the Second Half Comfortably
The defending champions remained firmly in control after the restart.
India added another 17 points in the second half and completed a third All-Out to put the result beyond doubt.
Nepal could only manage five touch points and two bonus points during the second period as India’s defence continued to restrict their attacking options.
India eventually closed out a comfortable 48-24 victory.
Gold Medal Match Awaits
The result sends India into the women’s kabaddi final at the Tokai Citizens Gymnasium.
They will face the winner of the second semi-final between Iran and Chinese Taipei.
India are now one victory away from successfully defending their Asian Games title after another dominant performance in Aichi-Nagoya.
