The Bali Kabaddi Team enjoyed a highly successful campaign at the 2026 National Kabaddi Championship, with athletes from Klungkung Regency playing a major role in the province’s medal winning performance. Bali secured four gold medals at the championship, with Klungkung athletes responsible for three of them.
The competition was held from September 1 to 3, 2026, at the GOR Universitas Negeri Jakarta. The results highlighted the growing strength of kabaddi in Bali and showed how regional development programs are helping produce athletes capable of competing at the national level.
Klungkung Athletes Secure Three Gold Medals
The three Klungkung kabaddi gold medals came across different categories during the finals held on September 2 and 3. Habi Zidan won gold in the Men’s Standard Kabaddi competition, representing Klungkung Regency for Bali.
I Kadek Angga Surya Widarma added another gold medal in the Men’s Super Five category. In the Women’s Standard Kabaddi competition, Cindy Nayla Putri and Ni Nengah Widyani combined to secure another gold for the Bali team.
All three gold medal winning performances came under coach Rizky Hadinata Zulfani. Their contribution accounted for three quarters of Bali’s total gold medal tally at the championship.
Bali’s fourth gold medal was won by athletes representing other regencies within the province, completing an impressive overall performance for the team.
Klungkung Receives Praise for National Success
The achievement received praise from the Federasi Olahraga Kabaddi Seluruh Indonesia Klungkung. Chairman Wayan Sukedana congratulated the athletes, coaches and support staff involved in the campaign.
He described the four gold medals as the result of collective hard work, while highlighting the importance of Klungkung athletes to Bali’s success. He also hoped the performance would encourage younger athletes in Bali and Klungkung to take up kabaddi and continue developing the sport.
KONI Klungkung Chairman Anak Agung Gde Anom also praised the athletes. He said the results demonstrated that competitors from Klungkung have the ability to perform and win at the national level.
A Major Boost for Bali Kabaddi
The success is an important development for the Bali kabaddi National Games 2026 campaign. The strong performance from Klungkung gives Bali a deeper pool of talent as the province continues to strengthen its position in Indonesian kabaddi.
